CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE
The Barangay was created on March 1972 when our Late President Ferdinand E. Marcos re-activated the Barangay Governance in the Philippines. The first Barangay Captain was the Late Felipa Cabaobao followed by Barangay Captains Elect Rodolfo J. Besana, next was Anecito Cabaobao, followed by Jessie Arroyo and Incumbent Barangay Captain is Lope A. Ledesma Jr.
Barangay 24 is composed of Two (2) Puroks namely, Masinadyahon and Standard, these areas were converted into commercial buildings.
Barangay 24 is an urban Barangay with a total land area of 53, 222 square meters more or less, bounded along and within Mabini St., Lacson St., Rizal St., Gonzaga St., and Cuadra St. Presently, the Barangay has 38 household families, 296 registered voters, 139 commercial establishments, or offices as of July 2011.
Barangay 24 is near or within the downtown areas of Bacolod City, approximately 85 meters on the east side of the Bacolod City Public Plaza and about 190 meters on the north east side of the Old City Hall.
