         Barangay 18 is classified as an urban Barangay. The Barangay income depends on its share of the real property tax & revenues collected by the city government from different establishments & other sources in the Barangay. As of 2013, the Annual income was P 1, 572,670.12

 

         Barangay 18 is strategically located within the city proper. It has a total land area of 5.5832 surveys. It is composed of three Puroks namely Yanson, Everlasting & Cordova. It is bounded by the  Barangay 17 in the North, Barangay 19 in the south, Barangay 9 in the west & Barangay 20 in the east. Its main entrance is located in the front of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital also known as Western Visayas Regional Hospital. Different Drug Stores, private Medical Clinics & laboratories are located in the vicinity of the Barangay. Barbeque vending is one of the major sources of livelihood during night time. One of the known landmarks of the Barangay is the YMCA building where sports & other cultural activities are held.

 

         There is no public elementary & high schools within the Barangay. Most of the students went to Apolinario Mabini Elementary School located in Barangay 26. For high school students, most of them went to Negros Occidental high School.
